Terms of Use

Effective date: 1 October 2026

These terms explain the rules for using the TellyPop app. We have tried to keep them short and in plain English.

The short version

  • TellyPop is a player. It does not include channels or a TV service — you bring your own.
  • Only add services and watch content that you are allowed to.
  • A subscription renews automatically until you cancel it in your Apple or Google account. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google.
  • Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Acefina LLC (“Acefina”, “we”, “us”), the publisher of the TellyPop app. By downloading or using TellyPop, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled. If you downloaded TellyPop from the Apple App Store, section 12 also applies to you.

2. Your licence to use TellyPop

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use TellyPop on devices that you own or control, for your own personal use, in line with these terms and the rules of the store you downloaded it from.

We and our licensors keep all rights in the app, including its name, design and code. This licence does not give you any rights to the content you play through the app — that belongs to its owners.

3. TellyPop is a player only

TellyPop plays TV services that you add yourself. It does not provide, sell, host or include any channels, TV service, playlists or other content.

Acefina LLC is not affiliated with any TV or content provider. We do not control what any provider offers, and we are not responsible for it.

The built-in demo uses publicly available sample test video so that you can try the player.

4. Your responsibilities

  • Only add a TV service that you have obtained from a provider and are authorised to use.
  • You are responsible for making sure you have the right to access and watch any content you play.
  • Follow the law where you live, and your provider’s terms.
  • Keep your service details private.

5. Things you must not do

You must not:

  • use TellyPop to access, copy or share content that you do not have the right to, or otherwise to infringe copyright or other rights (piracy);
  • get around, disable or interfere with copy protection, access controls or other technical protections, whether in TellyPop or in any service or content;
  • copy, modify, decompile or reverse-engineer TellyPop, except to the extent the law allows you to do so despite this restriction;
  • sell, rent, sub-license or redistribute TellyPop;
  • misuse the pairing relay — for example, by sending automated or excessive requests, trying to access pairing sessions that are not yours, or using it for anything other than pairing your own devices; or
  • use TellyPop in any way that is unlawful or that harms others.

6. Purchases, free trial and renewal

What you can buy

TellyPop offers full access in two ways:

  • a monthly subscription that renews automatically, with a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers; or
  • a one-time lifetime purchase.

Both are sold through Apple App Store or Google Play in-app purchase. The price is shown in the store before you confirm. Payments are processed by Apple or Google, and Acefina never receives your card details.

Purchases unlock the TellyPop player app only. They do not include channels or any TV service, which you get separately from your own provider.

Free trial and automatic renewal

If you start a free trial, your paid subscription begins when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

Managing or cancelling a subscription

  • Apple: manage or cancel in your Apple ID settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions).
  • Google Play: manage or cancel in your Google Play subscriptions (Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions).

Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. If you cancel, you keep full access until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Lifetime purchase

The lifetime purchase is a one-time payment and does not renew. It covers TellyPop on the same store account (your Apple ID or Google account). It does not transfer between the Apple and Google stores.

Restoring purchases

To restore a purchase on a new or reset device, go to Account and help → Restore purchases, signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account you used to buy it.

Refunds

Refunds are handled by Apple (at reportaproblem.apple.com) or by Google Play, under their own refund policies. This does not affect any rights you have under consumer law.

7. Your provider’s limits still apply

Your provider sets its own rules, such as how many devices or streams you can use at the same time. TellyPop cannot get around these limits.

For example, split screen plays two streams at once, so it needs two available connections from your provider. If your plan allows only one connection, or another device is already using it, a stream may not play.

8. Availability

We provide TellyPop “as is” and “as available”. We cannot promise that the app or the pairing relay will always be available or free from errors, or that any particular provider, service, channel or stream will work with it. Providers can change or stop their services at any time.

We may update TellyPop from time to time — for example, to fix problems, improve it or keep it working with app stores and devices.

9. Our liability to you

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law. This includes your statutory rights as a consumer, and liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Your statutory rights are not affected.

To the extent the law allows:

  • we are not responsible for channels, content or services supplied by your provider, or for their availability or quality;
  • we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, or for indirect or consequential losses; and
  • our total liability to you in connection with TellyPop is limited to the amount you paid for TellyPop in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Ending these terms

You can stop using TellyPop at any time by uninstalling it. Remember that uninstalling does not cancel a subscription — cancel it through Apple or Google as well.

If you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, we may end your licence to use TellyPop and restrict your use of the pairing relay. When these terms end, you must stop using the app. Parts of these terms that are meant to continue, such as section 9, will continue to apply.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example to reflect changes to the app or to the law. We will post the new version on this page and change the effective date at the top. If you keep using TellyPop after a change, the updated terms apply. If you do not agree with them, you can stop using the app and cancel any subscription.

12. If you downloaded TellyPop from the Apple App Store

The following applies in addition to the rest of these terms. If anything in this section conflicts with the rest of these terms, this section applies to App Store downloads.

  • Who the agreement is with. These terms are between you and Acefina LLC only, not Apple Inc. (“Apple”). Acefina, not Apple, is solely responsible for TellyPop and its content.
  • Scope of licence. Your licence is a non-transferable licence to use TellyPop on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, including use by other accounts associated with you through Family Sharing or volume purchasing where those rules allow it.
  • Maintenance and support. Apple has no obligation at all to provide any maintenance or support services for TellyPop. Support is provided by Acefina at support@acefina.com.
  • Warranty. If TellyPop fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for TellyPop to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for TellyPop. Any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses caused by a failure to meet a warranty are Acefina’s responsibility, to the extent they are not excluded by these terms.
  • Product claims. Acefina, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to TellyPop or your possession or use of it, including: (a) product liability claims; (b) claims that TellyPop fails to meet any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (c) claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
  • Intellectual property claims. If a third party claims that TellyPop, or your possession and use of it, infringes their intellectual property rights, Acefina, not Apple, is solely responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging that claim.
  • Legal compliance. You confirm that you are not located in a country that is subject to a US Government embargo, or that has been designated by the US Government as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not listed on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Third-party terms. You must comply with any applicable third-party terms when using TellyPop — for example, your TV provider’s terms and your mobile data or internet service agreement.
  • Third-party beneficiary. Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms. Once you accept these terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
  • Questions and complaints. Please send any questions, complaints or claims about TellyPop to Acefina LLC at support@acefina.com.

13. If you downloaded TellyPop from Google Play

Google Play’s own terms also apply to your download of TellyPop and to any purchases you make through Google Play.

14. The law that applies

If you are a consumer, you benefit from the mandatory consumer protection laws of the country where you live. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under those laws.

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest of the terms will still apply.

If you have a problem with TellyPop, please contact us first so that we can try to put it right.
